Sun Treader is a perfectly lovely beachside vacation 
house. "Beachside" is defined as "across the street from the 
beach."  This street is a very quiet cul de sac and the view is 
still great.  It is located in the elegant plantation on St. George 
Island.  One young renter described it thus:  "We had a very good 
time staying at Sun Treader. We have been coming to St. George 
Island for many years, and we like this house the most. My mom also 
loves the kitchen.  My Dad, and all the family, love the view. Every 
day my parents sit out on the screened porches and read.  Sun 
Treader is cheerful!"  

The Boardwalk to the beach is just a short walk away (less than 1 
minute for most!) and crowds are usually non-existent!  Dolphins 
will likely keep you company though. Sun Treader is set back from 
the street with a "natural" lot that creates a haven for various 
birds and is ultimately peaceful and a temporary home to an 
itinerant Owl. The large wraparound porch (partially screened) is a 
wonderful place to sit or to dine. Great view of the Gulf from the 
porches, kitchen, living room and a panoramic view from the loft 
(great for dolphin viewing).

Master bedroom has king bed, TV and sliding glass doors to a
screened porch.  2nd bedroom has a queen bed with sliding glass 
doors to another screened porch.  3rd bedroom has a trundle bed.  
Huge loft has a queen sleeper sofa, fireplace, library and chaise 
lounges.

Well equiped kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, flat top range, 
frig with icemaker.  Washer/dryer, telephones with free long 
distance calling (or you can turn them off!), free wireless, coffee 
maker, fireplace, 3 TVs & VCRs, DVD (1), stereo (bring your own 
media), lots of jigsaw puzzles, lots of books, an outdoor shower, 
park style grill and fish prep table with sink and water.  Community 
pool (not walkable).  And, of course, central heat (probably won't 
need that in July!) and air.  Linens are provided.

This property is Pet Friendly. Monthly carpet care enhances 
freshness and decreases pet dander.

The beach!  Often underpopulated if not secluded.  Fishing at "The 
Cut" is just down the road.  Surf fishing on the beach.  Rent bikes. 
Great shelling, great sun, great surf and dolphins, dolphins, 
dolphins.  If the fishing doesn't provide you with adequate meals, 
the seafood dining on the Island is excellent.  Or try great 
restaurants in Apalachicola or Eastpoint. Don't miss the bar (and 
lobby and cats) at the old, old historic Gibson Inn in Apalach.  
Chef Eddies is another gem of a restaurant.

But the best activity is sitting on the porch watching the ocean and 
doing absolutely nothing!

Pet friendly.  Pets need vacations too! Strict adherence to the 
Homeowner Association rules regarding pet waste and leash laws are 
required if I am to keep this house pet friendly.  Bring a pooper 
scooper and use it!  Do not allow your pet off the leash!  Sorry, 
but noncompliance will not be tolerated.
