THE ISLAND Welcome to beautiful St. George Island, located along Florida's Forgotten Coast. St. George Island is a 27 mile long barrier island presenting the best in family oriented outdoor recreational activities. St. George Island offers nature at its very BEST! Sea, sun, fun, fishing, birding, biking, hiking, boating, shopping or dining. The island is located approximately 350 miles from Atlanta and 70 miles west of Tallahassee. The East End of the Island has a beautiful State Park. The center of the island houses shops and restaurants. Access the island via a new 5 mile long bridge. THE PLANTATION Located on the West end of the island is the Plantation, a private gated community offering 24 hour security. This covenant protected community offers beautiful single family homes on 1/2 to 1 acre lots providing low density, with great effort to protect the natural beauty of the area. A clubhouse, community pool, and tennis courts are available for use. The Plantation provides easy beach access with numerous boardwalks to the beach throughout the community. Hiking and biking trails are also available. Paved roads. "The Cut" located on the west end of the island within the Plantation is noted for great fishing is only accessible to owners and guest. PROPERTY DESCRIPTION This beautiful Gulf View Mediterranean style custom home was completed in 2002. After visiting the island for several years and renting many different properties we wanted to build a house that would provide our guest with relaxation, comfort and security. The house is located on a 2nd tier lot with a Gulf View only 300 steps away (easy 2-3 minute walk) to the beach. One block to the tennis courts. This home offers 4 bedrooms and 3 1/2 bathrooms. The main master on the lower level has a king bed, easy chair, CABLE TV with DVD/VCR and a luxurious master bath featuring separate marble his and her vanities, 2 person Jacuzzi, large tiled shower and walk in closet. The bedroom has a porch that overlooks the pool. The 2 other bedrooms on this level are the "Fish" bedroom and the "Lighthouse" bedroom. The Fish bedroom was designed with children in mind, with the bright primary colors, fish mobile, art and rugs. The room has 1 twin bed,& a triple bunk, a TV,DVD,VCR,Sony Playstation One, and family appropriate selection of videos for your viewing pleasure. The Lighthouse bedroom is a large bedroom with Lighthouse art, models, and wall hangings. A corner nook with an arched window and comfortable chair is ready for you to curl up with your favorite book! The room has a queen bed, TV, private porch, and large closet. These bedrooms share a hall bath that continues the Fish theme. Nightlights are provided for your safety and security. The upper level has the Living Room, Dining Room, Reading Nook, Powder Room and additional Master bedroom. This master is conveniently located off the kitchen for the early riser who needs their morning coffee! This master has a "Garden" theme with a bay window that has a gulf view, queen bed, private porch and private full bath (no TV). The living area is spacious with a 2 queen sofas (one sleeper), love seat, a wicker loveseat in the reading nook. Central to the living area is the large custom built oak entertainment center that features a 32" TV/DVD/VCR and Surround Sound System. Books, magazines, games, puzzles and videos are provided for your entertainment. The dining table seats 8. The breakfast bar seats 4. The kitchen has custom built cabinets and a pantry for storage. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to cook: cookware, plates, silverware, crockpot, coffeepot, mixer, blender, food processor, utility knives and more. The appliances include: electric range, microwave, side by side refrigerator with ice maker and a dishwasher. The porch outside the living area has comfortable seating for you to watch the dolphins play and a dining table for outdoor eating. A recent visitor wrote, "This is the best vacation we've ever had! The house was beautifully decorated with everything we needed. Access to the beach was easy and the kids loved the pool. We can't wait to come back next year." FAQ; How far is the house from the beach? I'm on the beach within 2-3 minutes of leaving the house. It is the distance of 2 lots in front of the property. I'm guessing 300 steps? How do I get to the beach? Access is easy throughout the Plantation as boardwalks are provided about every 1000ft. Walk the "T" street one lot in front of the house. Boardwalk located next to Scarborough Fair and C-haven (see the wooden boardwalk between the beachfront houses, walk on the boardwalk and you are on the beach!) There is a bike/walking path that runs parallel to the beach front homes and provides beach access about the distance of every 5th house. Can you see the ocean? The rental management company list our home as "Gulf View". We are the 3rd house from the water. There is a view of the gulf between our neighbors houses. Having the large lots helps. You can see the Gulf, but you can not see the sandy beach. What airports serve St. George? You are about an equal distance to Panama City and Tallahassee. There are transportation companies that provide a shuttle to either airport. It is approximately 70 miles and about an hour and a half drive in either direction. How do we access the island? A 5 mile long bridge brings you from the mainland at Eastpoint to the island. The bridge does not have a toll. The house sleeps 12, can you make an exception for a couple of more children? I'm sorry but we must enforce the maximum occupancy of 12 in accordance with the State Fire Marshall's Office. What's the weather like? The following are average HIGHS: Jan-62, Feb-65, March-69, April-75, May-81, June-83, July-86, Aug-87, Sept-86, Oct-81, Nov-73, Dec-70. We are responsible college students. Will you rent to us? Sorry to disappoint. Our contract with the rental agency specifically prohibits renting to vacationing college students. Must be 25 or older to rent. The area is very family friendly.Property Amenities Pool: Huge 16 x 32 Tradewinds shaped private pool with large deck and fencing. Slip resistant, "stay cool" surface on pool surround. Some of the enclosed deck area is located under the porch for shade. Lounge chairs.The pool's depth is 3' to 5' with a seat at the entry which has a jet. Enclosed shower with hot and cold water. Picnic table. Pool side furniture. Enjoy beautiful sunset views from the pool. We love our pool! Phones(5), Cable TV(4), VCRs(3), DVD(3), Sony Playstation one, DSL,Wireless internet,Clock radios(3), Video library, puzzles, games, books. Zoned central heat and air. Ceiling fans in all bedrooms and living areas for your comfort. Gas fireplace. Park side charcoal grill near the pool. Fish cleaning sink. Washer/Dryer, iron, ironing board in entry level laundry. Fully stocked kitchen with dishes, utensils, cookware. Highchair. 80 gallon hot water heater. Whole house water softener/conditioning system for water purity & taste. Fishing charts and books. Tiled flooring in entry, living, dining, kitchen and all baths. Beach chairs (4), beach umbrella, assorted pool toys/items, wheeled cooler. Located one block from the tennis courts & clubhouse. Near bike path. FREE Long Distance calls. Cell phones may not work on the island. Sleeps 10-12: 1 king, 2 queens, 1 twin, 1 triple bunk (double on bottom, single on top) and a queen sleeper sofa. Rates include: an initial supply of bed, bath and kitchen linens, garbage can liners, toilet tissue, and bath soap. Please bring: additional toilet tissue, bath soap, paper towels, dish soap, detergent, garbage bags, foil, coffee filter, condiments. Please NO smoking (inside or outside of house) and NO pets. Several companies on the island rent bikes, They will deliver the bikes to the property and provide pick up.Activities and Attractions The primary activity on St. George Island is Relaxation! There are no high rises, traffic jams, no hurry and no worries! There's plenty to do: enjoy the sun and surf, build a sand castle, surf cast from the beach or world class fishing at The Cut, play in the pool, go for a walk or biking along one of the paths, rent a kayak, rent a 4 wheeled bike, rent a boat, take up birding (hawks, osprey, eagles and more), watch the Milky Way (nightly opportunities), eat great local seafood prepare it yourself or enjoy one of the wonderful restaurants), explore nearby historic Applachicola. The house rents from Saturday to Saturday. To confirm a reservation
50% of total is required within 10 days of booking. Until confirmed,

Break HIGH SEASON rates apply. Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, &
