Verde (boat, jetski rentals,..)and Ft. Desoto Park, home to one of 
the top ten beaches in the USA (with an abundance of seashells). 
Approximately 10 minute drive to downtown St. Petersburg (baseball, 
museums, nightlife) and 30 minutes to Tampa (international airport, 
baseball, football, museums, nightlife, Busch Gardens, Florida 
Aquarium, cruise ships, shopping,...).  Orlando and the central 
Florida theme parks (Disney, Universal, SeaWorld,...) are a 90 
minute drive.
