woods & very private yet it's only a 15 min trip out of the forest 
to the grocery store and interstate I75, Hwy50 & Hwy 301.

Wow!  This is a particularly convenient spot for our local visitors 
from Orlando and Tampa for a long weekend get-a-way with a short 
stress-free drive through Central Florida!  (Don't forget to ask

Events:

 Interested in holding an event in this sanctuary?!  August 2003 
this was the site of a 200 person wedding.  Umbrella seating 
provided in the tame lawn area with wine tables strewn across the 
catwalks, walkways and decks while music from the outside deck 
speakers provided that extra special touch.    All this while 
visitors are constantly surrounded by the natural raw beauty of 
Florida. 

 

Florida flora and fauna:

 A wetlands Cypress stand adjacent to an oak and palmetto hammock 
thrives in the moderate Central Florida weather providing an ideal 
habitat for a large cross-section of Florida flora and fauna.     
You will hear the owls hooting and the frogs croaking while lounging 
on the deck and enjoy filling the feeder to study the black capped 
chickadees, red red cardinals, our beloved titmouse and many 
others.  Both the red shouldered and red tailed hawks frequent the 
fields nearby.  The graceful stork and demanding osprey are frequent 
visitors to the property while the herons and egret fish in the 
creek overlooked by the lower deck.  On very special days we have 
had otters feast in our creek!  Many other wildlife sightings are 
possible -- but not predictable!
