Get away from it all in this great home located in the "middle of 
the island" - just a few steps to the beach, and a shorter walk to 
the intracoastal waterway. Or enjoy your own pool in the privacy of
your back yard.  There is plenty of room for everyone without being
crowded.  The two bedrooms (one with a full size bed, and twin beds 
in
the other) are on separate ends of the house, and there are two full
bathrooms.  In addition, there is a sleep sofa in the living room and
one in the family room.  Originally built in 1958, this "old house"
has been totally updated and renovated, and is fully equipped for a
fun-filled (or just relaxing) vacation.  It is conveniently located 
on
Indian Rocks Beach within easy walking distance to several local
restaurants, beach shops, parks, and the IRB Public Library is just
around the corner where you can borrow books and movies.  Then come
back and enjoy the quiet, private backyard pool.

A quiet town of approximately 4,000, Indian Rocks Beach was 
initially 
developed in the 1920’s as a weekend getaway destination for wealthy 
inland residents.  Its 2.7 miles of beachfront are popular with all 
ages and between its array of motels and condominiums there are more 
than 20 beach accesses.  Our city is less than three miles along the 
Gulf of Mexico and, like its neighboring barrier islands, waterfront 
property faces either the Gulf or the Intracoastal Waterway.  At 
some 
points along this narrow piece of land you can view both bodies of 
water.  Despite its sleepy appearance, Indian Rocks Beach is home to 
some of the best known restaurants along the Gulf Coast, and holds 
an 
Arts and Crafts Festival every November and April.  The city’s 
tourist population, especially in the winter months, is one of its 
greatest assets. 

Our easily accessible beaches and intracoastal waterways provide an 
array of enjoyable activities for residents and visitors alike. 
Whether you swim, fish boat or just sunbathe there are an endless 
number of amenities available for your pleasure. 
From Sunrise to Sunset the Gulf Beaches has a lot to offer visitors 
of all ages.  We have 28 miles of the whitest beaches for any type 
of 
water sports you can imagine besides the swimming, sand castles, 
shelling and sun bathing you might want to try deep-sea fishing, 
beach volley ball or Parasailing!  The Gulf Beaches are the home of 
the Seabird Sanctuary and two local Historical Museums, one on the 
north end of the beach and the other on the south end. We offer all 
types of boating adventures including, dinner cruises up the 
intracoastal, casino cruises, deep-sea fishing, dolphin watches, 
snorkeling excursions, canoeing, and much much more.  

 We have 2 county parks, both are located directly on the Gulf of 
Mexico, Sand Key Park is just south of Clearwater,where you can lay 
on 
the 
beach and hear the soft whistle thru the  Florida pine trees 
around you.  On the west side of the park, there are public 
restrooms 
and showers and beautiful white sandy beaches, along the north and 
the east side of the park on any day you will find the rock jetty 
lined with fisherman. If you go south from Sand Key for about 28 
miles you will find our other County Park,Fort Desoto Park along the 
boundary of St. 
Petersburg and St. Pete Beach.  The Fort was 
built in  1898 and offers a self guided tour.  The park consists of 
900 acres and houses 2 fishing piers, picnic areas, nature trails, 
swimming, boat ramp, and a 235 site camping area.
