This area is NOT highly commercialized which is very nice if you wish
to escape the hustle and bustle of crowded beach towns.  

Brand New Pool, also in walking distance to a larger community pool.

Plenty of designated bike paths.

One block away from Fort Clinch State Park where you can do 
everything
from offroad biking and hiking to fishing off their 1/4 mile pier as
well as several other secluded fishing spots.  

Straight down the street from the park is the Historic Fernandina
Beach district with neat little shops and restaurants. 

The marina there offers many different fishing and dinner cruises. 

Fernandina Beach is known as the birthplace of the modern shrimping
industry and they have a huge celebration the first weekend of May.

Also nearby you can rent and enjoy kayaking.

The whole area is rich with wildlife, lush golf greens, fishing 
spots and National Parks.  

Even something as simple as taking a ride and enjoying the scenery is
very enjoyable.  

These are just a few of the things you can experience during your 
stay on beautiful Amelia Island.  

The Ritz Carlton is 5 miles down the road and The Amelia Island 
Plantation is 5.5 miles away.
