Vacation Rental Description:

     Our custom built spacious home over looks a beautiful deep 
water canal and is located in the Paradise Village Community at 
Shell Point, Florida. It is only 30 miles south of Tallahassee, Fl. 
The house sits on an angle on the property to allow for an excellent 
view of the boats coming and going. Most of the boat traffic is 
fishermen and some are joy riders just looking. There is always a 
friendly wave. The view of the canal can be enjoyed from the Florida 
room with the comforts of indoor air conditioning, the screened in 
back patio or from the swing hanging from the big oak tree in the 
back yard. Channel markers start at the end of the canal and guide 
boats safely into the beautiful Gulf of Mexico just around the bend.
     The Community is gated and a code will be provided. Within 
walking distance of the house is the community pool which overlooks 
another canal, tennis courts, a basketball goal and the public 
beach. A large private dock is right outside the backdoor of the 
house and has a stainless steel fish cleaning station with running 
water. The boat ramp is located nearby. If you are an avid 
fishmen you will need ice...this home rents with a very large 
capacity ice machine. You will not be buying ice...just bring plenty 
of ice chests. The carport is shaded and we would be happy to share 
the abundants of fruit that we harvest each year from our Ruby Red 
grapefruit, lime, fig, & pomegranate trees.
     Our personal vacation home offers 2000 sq. ft. of open living 
space, featuring hardwood floors in living area,3 bedrooms, 2 baths, 
large family room, huge florida room with windows covering the 
entire room overlooking the canal, 3 dining areas (4 including the 
table on the patio), spaceous kitchen with island, washer and dryer 
nook, large 32" TV in family room and 20" TV in the master bedroom. 
Cable TV throughout. Master bedroom has two queen beds, Palm room 
has two double beds, Front Blue room has bunk beds. Two of the 
couches are pull out beds. Linens are provided for all. A propane 
BBQ grill is stored on the patio.

*Local canoe rental and organized river trips on the Wakulla and St. 
Marks Rivers...details can be provided.

*Pool, tennis court and basketball courts in the community.

*Safe and level ground for morning and afternoon walks or runs. The 
streets in the community are safe and well lit with street lights.

*Great off shore or flats fishing. Shell Point seems to be the 
nursery for the Gulf of Mexico. Often you can see the Dolphins come 
into the canal to feed. Manatees also live in this area. Scalloping 
by the St. Marks lighthouse during scallop season.

*Wakulla Springs State Park - crystal clear cold water. It is one of 
the laregest fresh water springs in the world. Tarzan, The Creature 
from the Black Lagoon, & Airport '77 were all filmed at Wakulla. 
Glass bottom boats can be rented. There is a nice picnic area and a 
museum to tour. Swimming is allowed and there is a diving platform 
for jumping. Unfortunately, scuba is not allowed but bring your mask 
and snorkel. 
There is a fee for going into the swimming area and the boat rides 
only. The museum area has food court.

*Tallahassee Bike Trail - Bring your bicycles. There is a 16 mile 
bike trail from Tallahassee to St. Marks, Fl. In St. Marks you can 
rest up at one of the local restruants. The trail is paved and runs 
adjacent to the highway for part of the journey and then ventures 
back into the woods for a great experience with nature.

*McClay Gardens - Offers a nice picnic area and roped off fresh 
water swimming area. Daily tours offered of beautiful tropical and 
area plants.

*Leon Geological Sinks - a nice hike in the woods. A map is 
available to quide you along what could be a 3.1 mile hike. The path 
is color coded and well marked. You will see several sink holes that 
have developed over time. Local groups have donated their time to 
build platforms for veiwing. Early morning and late afternoon are 
the best times for animals watching. The cost of this adventure is 
only $3.00 per vehicle.

*Panacea Aguarium - This is a "hands on" aguarium with on site 
crates for the little ones to stand on. It is small but well worth 
the trip. Adults adm. price is $6.00 Hook Wreck Henry's resturant is 
also in Panacea. You can dine while watching the boats come in at 
the end of the day. Live music most nights with an outdoor Tiki Bar.

*Tallahassee Museum of History and Natural Science - This is an 
interesting journey into Florida's wildlife.

*Wildwood Country Club - This is a beautiful public golf course.

*Private fishing charters are availabe by area USCG licensed 
captains. Capt. Jody Campbell is a resident within the Village. The 
area is well know for speckled trout, spanish mackerel, redfish, 
black bass, grouper, flounder, cobia, tarpon and blue crabs.

*Windsurving is an advid pass time and Shell Point is host to 
several Regattas each year.

*Tallahasse,Fl is only 30 miles north and offers all of the 
amenities of an big city. Large malls, restaurants, museums, parks, 
specialty shop, sports and an airport.

Vacation Rental Rates:

3 night weekend (T,F,S,or F,S,S) - $500.00
4 night weekend (T,F,S,S or W,T,F,S) - $630.00
3 night mid-week special (M,T,W) - $350.00
5 nights - $760.00
6 nights - $845.00
7 nights - $900.00

Monthly rates are available upon request. Mid-week specials do not 
apply to holidays. No more than 12 people allowed.

A $65.00 cleanup fee and a $150.00 refundable security deposit are 
required with each stay.

*Deposit and clean up fee is required to secure the property & 
deposit will be returned after inspection and cleanup. The rental 
fee is due at least two weeks prior to arrival date. Personl checks 
must clear prior to rental. We gladly except credit cards for a 
minimal fee of $10.00. Cancelation fees may apply.
