second bedroom in seconds. A perfect escape by the sea for a couple,

A traveler to Jacksonville Beach has a multitude of accommodation
options. Each property when viewed on the Internet can appear to be
much the same as the next. We believe the small details and personal
service make the difference. Hotels are often staffed by employees
without passion for their product, or Vacation Rental properties
managed by distant owners hoping to simply to cover the cost of their
own vacation home, with the client’s needs coming second. La Palmeraie
is different than the rest.

We, as the owner/managers of La Palmeraie have 15 years of extensive
worldwide business travel experience to call upon to understand the
needs and wants of our clientele. For our own personal travel needs we
only use vacation rentals and boutique hotels, giving us positive &
negative experiences from the traveler’s perspective. The
considerations to & the indulgences for our guests are a reflection of
cumulative experience as clients.

Pets are important members of any family; we welcome the dogs & cats
in your party with dangerous breed exceptions.

We live in the neighborhood, and thus can provide valuable insight on
our area, while also being available to attend to guest’s needs at
short notice.

Many accommodation properties are operated with a focus solely on
margins. We believe that accommodations should benefit from passion,
consideration and acumen.

Our guest’s comfort & safety are our paramount concerns. We use only
600 thread count bed linens and Egyptian cotton bath linens. Our
linens never come in contact with chlorine bleach in deference to
sensitive skin & environmental concerns. Our linens are soaked in a
Woolite solution for 24 hours and then cold water laundered. 

Unlike many hotels and vacation rental properties our cleaning service
never “tops up” the clean linen count in a suite. Every single thread
of bed and bath linens, including duvet covers are removed to be
laundered and replaced with an all new stock of sanitized linens.

A Florida beach house originally constructed in 1933, as the family
abode for the then mayor Gonzalez. In 2004 La Palmeraie was
extensively renovated, commencing an entirely new chapter in this
historic home’s story. 

The house is divided into 3 apartments, each with their own discrete
separate entrance to ensure each guest’s privacy. The ground floor of
the house is comprised of the Master Suite, and the Garden Suite. The
entire second floor is occupied by the Executive Suite.

During the extensive renovation process, entirely new kitchens and
bathrooms were installed in each unit. All infrastructure systems were
replaced with the highest efficiency equipment available. When
possible, the period original treatments in each suite have been
refurbished to preserve the character of the space while adding high
standards of modern design, features & conveniences.

"I spent 4 nights over the weekend of Nov 17th in the Master Suite for
my wedding. We're locals that were looking for something beautiful to
escape to during the weekend and La Palmeraie couldn't have been more
perfect. It's a beautiful, fully restored old Jacksonville Beach
house. Hardwood floors, gorgeous furnishings, luxurious linens and
towels (amazing night's sleep, super comfortable bed).

It's definitely not kid-friendly with so many nice things including
the flat screen TV's, wine cooler and high-end kitchenware, but we
weren't there for a family vacation. If that's what you're looking
for, my brother had the suite upstairs (Executive Suite) and it's
PERFECT for families with younger kids. But, if you're looking for a
beautiful location with luxury amenities, the Master suite is the
place to stay.

I should note that after seeing the courtyard area, we moved our
rehearsal dinner for 50 to it! The fire pit, hammock and landscaping
were beautiful at night and lit perfectly. It was a truly special
event and Mike and the space made it even more so. Unforgettable,
personal, comfortable, clean, meticulously furnished, beautiful. Best
words to describe the place!

The only issue we had was with the heat on the second night, but Mike
was there within an hour with the repair man and it was resolved
quickly and quietly. We couldn't have asked for a better host and I
think this shows the character of the space and owner. He really took
the time to make every little piece of the space more comfortable with
extra amenities

By the way, if you're a techie like me, I loved the FREE wireless
access around the house and Mike's own photography around all of the
walls. It makes you feel like you're traveling and staying in a
gorgeous B&B in Europe with high-tech amenities. The best of both worlds!"

the living room & dining room areas to give loft like dimensions to
the living space. This bedroom features a 22 Inch Flatscreen

at the full length vanity workstation equipped with blow dryer, timed
outlets for hair iron safety and dimmable halogen work lights.

The Living Room & Dining Room space are designed to indulge the

bar area equipped with a 50 bottle wine cooler, fulcrum corkscrew, & a
variety of glassware, decanters & ice buckets for all occasions.
Touch:Relax on the Italian leather sofa. Sight:Watch TV or a movie on
the 32” LCD TV, Sports fans will enjoy the NFL Sunday Ticket, NHL
Center Ice & Gol TV programming. Hear: Listen to the latest La
Palmeraie Quarterly or select an album from one of the 2000+ stored in
the iTunes session, assign it to the audio network and enjoy it in
every room. Smell: Savor the olfactory pleasures of your dinner being

The Dining Area has seating for 6, with expansion capabilities to 10
persons, should you wish to host a dinner party.

Creating gourmet meals in this well equipped kitchen is easy.
Standards include; Oven & Cook top, Fridge, Ice Maker, Dishwasher,
Microwave Oven, Sink Disposal, Coffeemaker & Toaster. Standards are
exceeded with a Calphalon Cookware & Henckel’s Knives, Waffle iron,
Blender, Toaster Oven, Espresso Maker, Food Processor, Popcorn Maker,
Wand Mixer, Herbs & Spices, Cooking Oil, Condiments, Coffee, Tea,
Creamer and other kitchen stock basics. A workstation island gives
more counter workspace and provides for a great spot for guests to

The Living Room Entertainment features include a 32 Inch LCD
Television, with DVD Player, Audio System & iPod dock. Satellite &

audio & video content.
 
The Office is completely private room with a double futon to convert
the space into a second bedroom if needed. The working traveler will
appreciate having a bright sunny eastern exposure, electric outlets
located at desk height for convenience, hard wired & wireless internet
access, and lighting directly over the desk space for after-hours
paperwork. 

The sleeper will enjoy the roman window shades and plantation blinds
in combination to create darkness for sleeping at any hour of the day.
Entertainment features include a 15” LCD Television, DVD Player &
Audio System.

The screen enclosed Sun Room with east & south exposures allows hours
of natural light daily for spending time under the fan with a good
book. In the evening, enjoy the privacy of closing the blinds, dimming
the lights, feeling the ocean breezes, and enjoying your nightcap
while listening to your favorite after-hours music choice from the
audio library.

A laundry room equipped with washer, dryer, iron & ironing board and
stocked with laundry supplies inclusive to your accommodation rate
makes longer trips away from home easier.
