This is a wonderful island beach house which is directly on the 
beach.  We are on the beach...not near the beach or a short walk to 
the beach.  We are directly on the Gulf of Mexico side of the island  
on the real beach.  

We have one of the best views on the island.  Our sunsets are 
spectacular and the view of Captiva Pass, north of our home, is 
amazing. Dolphin, Tarpon, manatees, and exotic birds are seen on a 
regular basis in front of our home.  We have decks 360 degrees around 
the house which give visitors views of the entire island - all the 
way across to the other side which is Safety Harbor and Pine Island 
Sound.  We also have a great view of the sleepy grass air strip which 
accommodates several small private airplanes daily.  

Hammocks swing on our porches and entice guests to relax and nap in 
the shore breezes.

Our home has a large fully equiped kitchen including microwave and   
all cooking utensils. 

The top floor is a very large great room with spectacular views. 

The first floor has three bedrooms: a King size bed, queen size bed, 
a set of twins; and two and a half bathrooms.

Our private club has a pool, tennis courts, club house, observation 
tower, trails, and a large private dockage area in Safety Harbor.

Two island eateries are currently open; both have excellent food with 
a tropical flair.  More eating establishments are scheduled to open 
in the near future.

There is an open air bar on the island.

Our property manager will help you have groceries and supplies 
delivered, arrange for rentals of boats and bikes, provide you with a 
golf cart, help schedule fishing trips, sight seeing tours and will 
arrange for beach equipment and grills.

Fishing is abundant in the area, and tarpon are a sought after trophy 
by seasoned anglers.  Redfish, snook, snapper and grouper are also 
common catches.  Fishing from the shores and beaches is often 
productive especially for snook fishing.  

There are several miles of beaches for walking and shelling.  The 
south end of our island is almost entirely a state wildlife 
preserve.  

Side trips may be arranged to Cayo Costa, a small island which is a 
State recreation park north of our island; Cabbage Key, a small 
island which it is said inspired the Jimmy Buffet song Cheeseburger 
in Paradise; Sanibel/Captiva islands or Pine Island.  

Two small general stores will provide some staples for you, and a 
couple of small shops are on the island for gifts.  

Transportation to the island is by water taxi or private boat.  We 
have a property manager who will arrange transportation to the island 
and take you to the beach house.
