More Photos Of This Vacation Rental Below!!!! Name: John Timothy Phone: (347) 276-5112 Property Description This 2300sf(approx) resort-style condominium is on the top floor of the 2-story Mediteranean
style building it is located in. Vaulted ceilings add to the already spacious floor plan. We have
decorated this as our home away from home, and you will find that everything you need is here if you
decide to make this your home away from home. The master bedroom suite boasts a huge walk-in
closet, king size bed, bathroom with his and hers vanities, walk-in shower and soaking tub. In the
living room you'll find an L-shaped sofa and a recliner facing a custom made entertainment center
which houses a large screen TV, and a Bose 3-2-1 sound system. Dining room has oversized round
table, comfortably seating up to eight people. We have the smallest of the three bedrooms set up as
a separate TV room or den, with queen size pullout sleeper and another recliner. From the windows
in the dining/ living rooms and the master bedroom, you have a view of the lake with foutain,
clubhouse and pool.
Property Amenities
This community is unlike most in the area. Winding paths bring you past waterfalls and lush tropical landscape. The freeform pool is heated, with waterfalls just feet away. The clubhouse has beautiful marble floors and big screen TV for the "Big Games". Homeowners have get togethers at the clubhouse pretty frequently, and you of course would be welcome to join them...a great way to meet new people. There is also a small exercise room adjacent to the clubhouse.Activities and Attractions The beaches in Venice are known as the "Shark Tooth Capital of the World". My children have
found literally hundreds of the fossils! If you are a people watcher, there are beaches that can
get quite a crowd. If you want solitude, you can head to the southern end of the island and find a
quiet spot to curl up with a good book. There is a large fishing pier if you are an angler, and the
south jetty is popular for fishing and sunset watching. It isn't unusual to see dolphins and
manatee, and if you are adventurous you should rent a jet ski. My kids and I have had some very
close encounters with them.
Siesta Key, known for it's unbelievably fine white sand, is about 20- 30 mins. drive to the
north, and we like to make a day trip there once in awhile. Saturday evenings on nearby Nokomis
beach is an interesting event. Be there before sunset and enjoy the drums and dancing of the locals
as they celebrate it. We absolutely LOVE to watch the sunsets...
The municipal tennis courts are a short drive away. My father-in-law makes the trip by
bicycle. According to him (as I don't play), the courts are in great shape, and it's easy to join
in with whoever is there...another good spot to meet new people.
If you like to play golf, as I do, you'll find 2 courses within walking distance, and many more
within a short drive. I haven't been disappointed with any of them.
There's plenty of shops on the island of Venice, along with restaurants, and we love to walk
down palm tree lined Venice Ave., ducking in and out of them. Sometimes we stop by the gazebo in
the park and listen to whatever band might be performing there.
