Ormond Beach is a lovely seaside community often called the “sparkling city by the sea.” Known for its’ exceptional quality of life, Ormond Beach is conveniently located in the northeastern corner of the east-central region of Florida. It is 50 miles south of historic St. Augustine, 60 miles east of Orlando and 60 miles from the Kennedy Space Center. The “Birthplace of Speed Antique Car Show and Swap Meet” is held in Ormond Beach every Thanksgiving, attracting thousands from across the country. The scenic Tomoka State Park, located just three miles north of Ormond Beach is perfect for fishing, boating, hiking and camping. It is the site of a Timucuan Indian settlement discovered in 1605 by Spanish explorers. There are walking and biking paths in the park, wooded campsites and guided canoe tours along the Tomoka and Halifax Rivers.

Ormond Beach Weather & Climate

Warm, mild winters and hot summers are generally what you'll find along the east central coast of Florida in the Daytona Beach area. With a semi-tropical climate, the central Atlantic Coast becomes quite hot and humid during the months of June, July and August. It's not unusual for temperatures to exceed 90 degrees and humidity to hover around 90 percent. With its' proximity to the Atlantic Ocean, this region enjoys nights that are balmy with warm tropical breezes. There is a lot of rain from showers and thunderstorms every month of the year in central Florida (but less in winter.) The best weather is between the months of October to May, when it's sunnier, with less rain and the humidity is much less noticeable.
