Tierra Verde is an affluent, unincorporated island in Pinellas County, located at the southern tip of the county where Tampa Bay meets the Gulf of Mexico. There are six areas to Tierra Verde; Monte Cristo, Entrada, Pinellas Bayway, Sands Point, East Shore (Bayview) and West Shore (Oceanview.) This diverse area is a recreational paradise where you can swim and fish local waters, sail the Gulf of Mexico and play on the beaches of Fort DeSoto State Park. Boating is very popular in Tierra Verde where a short cruise takes you to Egmont Key, Shell Island, the Manatee River and Tampa Bay. Fishing, water skiing, snorkeling, swimming, sunning on white sand beaches, golf and hiking are just a few of the other activities to enjoy on the island. The area around Tierra Verde is full of fine restaurants, specialty shops and boutiques – all in a relaxing, beautiful island resort atmosphere. Tierra Verde Weather & Climate

Temperate and mild ,the central West Coast of Florida in the Clearwater/St. Petersburg/Tampa Bay area enjoys a semi tropical climate with warm Gulf breezes and plenty of sunshine. Frequent thunderstorms, short in duration, dominate the summertime weather patterns, where humidity usually hovers near the 100 percent mark. Even with these frequent summer storms, however, this area of the state enjoys the most days of sunshine per year - with an average of 361. June through September are the wettest months, with the rest of the year being pretty dry by comparison. The most pleasant weather is found during the winter months between November and March when the humidity becomes more bearable and winds from the Bay and Gulf keep temperatures moderate.
