YeeHaw Junction
is probably most well known for its’ annual Bluegrass Festival and Fiddle Championship that usually takes place in January each year. It’s a small community located in Osceola County in central Florida, not too far from the city of Kissimmee. At one time, the town was called Crossroads, and also Jackass Crossing and the Crossing. No one is really sure how the name YeeHaw Junction came to be. Disney World is about one hour north of YeeHaw Junction and Vero Beach is about an hour and a half east. There are many freshwater lakes in the area where you can enjoy fishing, boating, swimming, and camping. Osceola County offers almost every type of outdoor sport, like golf, tennis, hiking, biking and nature tours. It’s one of the few places where you can have your picture made with an alligator, observe native wildlife from an airboat or pick your own oranges at local citrus groves. Nearby Kissimmee is a quaint town with brick-lined streets and more than 75 shops with everything from souvenirs and taffy to antiques and fine jewelry. Other nearby attractions include Gatorland, the Flying Tigers Warbird Air Museum and Bok Tower Gardens.

YeeHaw Junction Weather & Climate
The northern tip of what is known as the "Treasure Coast" of Florida, lies south of Cape Canaveral on the Atlantic coastline. Yearly rainfall in this area is 50-55 inches, with September being the "the rainy month," and June, July, August and October follow next. The semi-tropical climate of this area becomes quite warm and humid in summertime with lots of short, fast moving thunderstorms. Onshore breezes help keep it from getting too hot. Late fall, winter and early spring are delightfully warm and sunny with cool evenings. Hurricane season in the Atlantic runs late August through October, but direct hits are not that common and plenty of warning time is given for these storms.
