Chattahoochee Vacation Rentals, Homes, Condos, Villas and Beach Rentals
Chattahoochee
is a small piece of paradise, nestled along the Georgia border near the Three Rivers State Park and Lake Seminole. At Three Rivers State Park, the Chattahoochee and Flint rivers merge together to form the Apalachicola River. The result is a peaceful, beautiful setting that offers outdoor fun and a relaxing place to “get away from it all.” The State Park has a boat ramp and a 100-foot fishing pier, a nature trail for hiking, canoe rentals and camping. Lake Seminole at Chattahoochee is one of the prettiest state parks in Florida. It is dotted with water lilies, and offers a quiet, natural setting for fishing, camping, wildlife viewing and breathtaking sunsets. The submerged logs and trees in Lake Seminole make it unsafe for water skiing or jet skies, but is ideal for fishing. Also nearby is Torreya State Park, which is best enjoyed along one of its nature trails. The Apalachicola River Bluffs Trail, which is a National Recreational Trail, offers a view of the river, Confederate gun pits, bluffs and hardwood forests. The Weeping Ridge Trail is a vigorous hike to one of the park’s deep ravines and exposes the hiker to all the park’s natural features. The town of Chattahoochee offers visitors all the necessary shopping and amenities, pleasant and affordable lodging and restaurants. In autumn, Chattahoochee is also home to a fun-filled Fall Festival with arts and crafts, fireworks on the river and a boat parade.

Chattahoochee Weather & Climate
The Panhandle Region known as the "Big Bend" is near the Georgia State line to the north and the Gulf of Mexico to the south. This region enjoys a somewhat cooler climate in the wintertime than the southern part of the state, due to its latitude and cold winds from the north. However, daytime temperatures in winter are still generally warm enough for outdoor activities, with chilly nights. Summers are hot and humid, due to its' proximity to the Gulf and frequent thundershowers. The Panhandle region receives the most rain of any area in the state of Florida, with nearly 60 inches per year. June through September are the wettest months. Hurricane season officially lasts from August through late October, but ample warning is given for these types of storms.
